Black & White Striped Maxi

I just love versatile pieces of clothing, especially when those pieces are super timeless and chic.  This dress from Kardashian Kollection is just that and to prove it I remixed the look by having a dressed up and a dressed down version of this super fashionable maxi dress.

Dress it up –

To dress up a look like this is almost as easy as to dress it down, add a stunning pair of heels and some bold accessories and you are pretty much good to go! The beautiful side cutouts of this dress add such a touch of sexiness to the look that I decided what better shoes then a pair of super sexy gladiator heels, especially since they are very much the ‘it’ shoes of the season.  I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum because the stripes are really the focus of this look, so I opted for a high waisted belt and a bold cuff.  The best part of a dress like this is that the stripes are vertical and not horizontal. Vertical stripes slim down and elongate any figure, while horizontal stripes do the very opposite. So if you have a choice, opt for vertical!

Dress it Down –

This dress has such a nice flow it’s just perfect for an afternoon stroll or a day at the park.  To dress down this look I simply paired it with my super trusty Dolce Vita Archer Flats and accessorized with a straw hat and clutch.  Not too much jewelry needed here! I simply added my tassel necklace from Accessory Mercado and a beautiful chic little bracelet from Henri Bendel.  An easy yet put together summer look.

Summer Striped Suit

There’s nothing I adore more than a perfectly matching suit set that is chic yet fun. This super fashionable set of shorts and matching blazer from Marciano are the perfect addition to any wardrobe for the spring/summer months.  They have that cute nautical look, but are instantly glamed up with adorable thin gold stripes.  I love to add a pop of color to an outfit like this, and what better color to choose then ‘salmon’ – the perfect spring/summer color! This salmon clutch from Gigi New York is the ultimate ‘go with anything’ clutch, and the best part of it….its monogramed, and I’m a sucker for anything monogramed! I just love it.  I wanted to be casual with this look so I opted for my super trusty and fun oxfords from Stuart Weitzman. They have this cute cutout on the sides making them standout a little more then the usual oxfords.  This is my perfect spring/summer look for me.  What’s yours?

All White & A Statement Necklace

Spring is almost here and I couldn’t be more excited.  It’s literally my favorite time of the year.  I adore flowers and honestly wish I could have those gorgeous Ritz Carlton type arrangements all over my house everyday.  So yeah, walking around and seeing all the beautiful trees blooming gorgeous flowers definitely puts a smile of my face.

This time of the year I love retiring my usual black and dark colors (for a little bit) and dive into the world of color! Even though white isn’t a bright color, I feel like its perfect for spring and you can easily add the bright pop of color with your accessories like my clutch in this case.  Another super perk of wearing a one tone outfit is you can really accessorize with jewelry and not overwhelm the look.  This amazing necklace from Accessory Mercado looks like a million bucks, but it’s definitely not!  It ads instant glam to this look, I love it.

The Look – Red Plunge Top

I’ve been super in love with the plunge top look lately, but always find myself second guessing the look because it can easily go into the realm of looking a bit ‘trashy’.  This top from Talina Hermann has the perfect ‘plunge’ ending at  just the right spot making it still a chic look.  I love to pair a top like this with a jacket, especially a tuxedo jacket which has the same straight lines and cuts mimicking the top.  This all just bring the entire look together in a way that is still sexy, but very much chic and put together. Obviously with a top like this sticky tape is a major must, and I just swear by the Hollywood Fashion Secrets Tape since they help keep the plunge and my girls in place! To keep the symmetry of the plunge and the jacket I added this great long necklace from Accessory Mercado, I think it brings the look together perfectly without over doing it.

Lipstick of the Moment – Hourglass in Canvas & Rose

I’ve been searching for the perfect nude lipstick for months now, they are always either too pale or not nude enough for me.  It’s such a tricky color and I’ve always felt like I looked a bit ‘dead’ when wearing it.  Well, on one of my last trips to makeup heaven, Sephora, I found the perfect nude.  Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas! It’s the perfect mix of nude with  a little undertone of rose, which makes it look more alive than most nudes.  I fell in love, bought it and love to wear it with my eyes a little more done up so it brightens up the undertoned lips.  After a few wears I just fell even more in love with the wear of the lipstick.  Its super long-lasting, and after it dries it has that awesome matte finish which is great for  nudes colors and is super in style now.  So, I went back to Sephora and tested out the other colors from line and ended up finding the perfect daytime, everyday color for this time of  year.  Spring is almost around the corner and a rose lipstick is just the perfect everyday/daytime color.  The Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Rose is super fun but subtle at the same time, and stays on all day long! I’m in love.
